Ingredients

For Flour Mixture

  • 1 & ¼ cups / 155 g All-Purpose Flour
  • ½ tsp / 2 g Baking Soda
  • ½ tsp / 3 g Salt

For The Cookie

  • ½ cup / 113 g Melted Butter Unsalted
  • ½ cup / 125 g Creamy Peanut Butter
  • ¼ cup / 50 g Granulated Sugar
  • ¾ cup / 150 g Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp / 5 ml Vanilla Essence
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 cup / 180 g Chocolate Chips

Instructions

Prepare The Dry Ingredients

  • Take a small mixing bowl and add 1¼ cups of all-purpose flour to it.
  • Sprinkle ½ tsp of baking soda and ½ tsp of salt over the flour.
  • Use a whisk to mix these dry ingredients until they are well combined. Set the mixture aside for later use.

Prepare The Wet Ingredients

  • Take a large mixing bowl and pour ½ cup of unsalted melted butter into it.
  • Add ½ cup of creamy peanut butter to the bowl.
  • Pour ¼ cup of granulated sugar and ¾ cup of brown sugar into the mixture.
  • Whisk all the ingredients together until smooth and well combined.

Add Vanilla Essence and Egg

  • Stir in 1 tsp of vanilla essence to the wet mixture.
  • Crack 1 large egg into the bowl and whisk again until the mixture becomes smooth.

Add Dry Ingredients and Chocolate Chips

  • Gradually add the prepared flour mixture to the wet mixture in two parts. Fold with a spoon after each addition.
  • Mix gently until a cookie dough forms.
  • Add 1 cup of chocolate chips to the cookie dough. Gently fold them into the dough to distribute evenly.

Bake The Cookies

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Use a cookie scoop to scoop portions of the cookie dough and place each portion onto the baking tray. Make sure to leave enough space to allow them to spread while baking.
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius and bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes.

Cool, Serve and Enjoy!

  • Once baked, remove the cookies from the oven and place the pan on a wire rack to let the cookies cool to room temperature.
