Ingredients

  • ½ cup / 113 g melted butter
  • ¾ cup / 150 g white sugar
  • ½ cup / 110 g brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp / 5 ml vanilla essence
  • ½ cup / 63 g all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup / 43 g cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp / 3 g salt
  • 150 grams / 5 oz semi-sweet dark chocolate

Instructions

Prepared the Pan

  • Line a 7×7 square baking pan with parchment paper, grease it with butter, and set it aside for later. Then preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celcius, 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Make Brownies Batter

  • Take a medium-sized mixing bowl, add 1/2 cup melted butter, 3/4 cup granulated sugar, and 1/2 cup brown sugar, and mix well.
  • Pour two drops of vanilla essence, crack in 2 large eggs one by one into the bowl, and start whisking. Whisk until a smooth batter forms.
  • Sieve in ½  cup of all-purpose flour and cocoa powder each into the bowl and mix it lightly using a spatula.
  • Chop some semi-sweet dark chocolate and mix it in. Set aside.

Bake, Serve, and Enjoy!

  • Pour the brownie mixer into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Make sure to tap and flatten the top using a spatula.
  • Place it in the oven and bake for about 30 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius in a preheated oven.
  • Once done, take the prepared brownie out and let it cool completely to room temperature.
  • Dip a knife in water, dry it using a kitchen towel, and cut your brownie into pieces before serving. Enjoy.
