For Custard Mixture
- 2 tbsp / 30 g Custard Powder
- 4 tbsp / 60 ml Milk
- 2 cups / 500 ml Milk
- ¼ cup / 50 g Sugar
- Salt A Pinch
For Cream Mixture
- 1 cup / 237 ml Heavy Cream Chilled
- ¼ cup / 76 g Condensed Milk
- ½ tsp / 2 ml Vanilla Essence
For Assembly
- 12 slices White Bread
- 1 tsp / 4 g Almond Chopped
- 1 tsp / 2 g Pistachio Chopped
Prepare The Custard Mixture
In a small mixing bowl, combine 2 tbsp of custard powder with 4 tbsp of milk.
Using a fork, mix until the custard powder dissolves.
Place a small deep pot on the stove over medium heat.
Pour in 2 cups of milk and bring it to a boil while stirring continuously.
Add ¼ cup of sugar and a pinch of salt to the cooking pot.
Add the custard mixture you prepared earlier to the milk.
Stir well and cook for 4-5 minutes until the mixture thickens. Keep the custard mixture aside for later use.
Prepare The Cream Mixture
In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of chilled heavy cream with ¼ cup of condensed milk.
Add ½ tsp of vanilla essence to the mix.
Using a whisker, beat the mixture until it becomes slightly thickened.
Assemble The Bread Pudding
Take 12 slices of white bread and cut the sides off each slice using a knife.
Place 6 bread slices in a large serving dish.
Pour a portion of the custard mixture you prepared earlier over the bread slices. Make sure the custard mixture covers all the bread slices.
Now pour some of the heavy cream over the bread slices evenly.
Place the remaining 6 bread slices on top of the layers.
Pour the rest of the custard mixture over the bread slices and spread the heavy cream on top of the custard mixture. Make sure all the bread slices are soaked completely.
Garnish, Chill and Serve
Sprinkle 1 tsp of chopped almonds and 1 tsp of chopped pistachios over the bread pudding.
Refrigerate the dish for 2-3 hours and allow the pudding to set.
Cut the bread slices from the pudding and enjoy the delicious Arabian bread pudding dessert!
