Ingredients

  • ½ cup / 115 g Salted Butter Softened
  • cup / 40 g Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tsp / 5 ml Vanilla Essence
  • 1 cup / 125 g All-Purpose Flour

Instructions

Whisk Butter and Sugar

  • Measure out ½ cup of softened salted butter and add it to a mixing bowl.
  • Pour ⅓ cup of powdered sugar into the bowl.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence to the butter and sugar.
  • Using an electric mixer, beat until the batter is smooth and creamy.

Add Flour Gradually

  • Take 1 cup of all-purpose flour and add half of it to the cookie batter.
  • Beat with the electric mixer until there are no dry streaks.
  • Pour the remaining half of the flour into the batter and beat again until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  • Use a spatula to gather all the batter in the middle, pressing and folding until it forms a large dough.

Shape And Bake The Cookies

  • Grab a baking tray and line it with parchment paper.
  • Scoop a small portion of the dough using a cookie scoop and take it in your hands.
  • Use your palms to gently roll the dough and form small and smooth balls.
  • Place the balls onto the baking tray, leaving enough space between them to allow room for spreading as they bake.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 180 degrees Celsius and bake for about 10-12 minutes.

  • Once baked, remove the butter cookies from the baking tray and transfer them to a wire rack. Let the cookies cool to room temperature.
