Ingredients

  • 1 cup / 258 g Creamy Natural Peanut Butter Unsweetened
  • 2 tbsp / 40 g Pure Maple Syrup You can also use powdered sugar; see recipe notes for more information.

Instructions

Set Up The Baking Sheet

  • Place a baking sheet on the countertop and line it with a silicone mat or parchment paper. This lining will prevent the cookies from sticking to the pan during baking.

Prepare The Dough

  • Grab a mixing bowl and measure 1 cup of creamy, unsweetened natural peanut butter, then add it to the bowl.
  • Pour 2 tbsp of pure maple syrup into the bowl with the peanut butter.
  • Mix thoroughly with a spatula to combine the two ingredients. It will seem liquidy at first. Keep stirring, and soon, the mixture will thicken to a moldable, dough-like consistency.

Scoop and Shape The Cookies

  • Scoop out 12 equal portions of the dough ball using a cookie scoop.
  • Roll each portion of the dough between your palms to form a smooth, round ball.
  • Once the ball is formed, gently press on top of the ball with your thumb to flatten it.
  • Use a fork to create a criss-cross pattern on top of each cookie.

Bake, Cool and Enjoy!

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 180 degrees Celsius.
  • Place the prepared cookie dough inside the oven and bake the cookies for about 10-12 minutes.
  • Once baked, take the cookies out of the oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheet. The cookies will firm up as they cool.
  • Serve and enjoy your peanut butter cookies that have a melt-in-your mouth delicious texture.

Notes

  • You need to use natural peanut butter for this recipe. The cookies won’t turn out the same if you use sweetened and processed peanut butter.
  • Make sure your peanut butter is at room temperature before using them. Also, stir the peanut butter very well before baking.
  • You can use powdered sugar instead of maple syrup; for this, you can use 1/4 cup or 1/3 cup powdered sugar as your preference.
