- 1 cup / 258 g Creamy Natural Peanut Butter Unsweetened
- 2 tbsp / 40 g Pure Maple Syrup You can also use powdered sugar; see recipe notes for more information.
Prepare The Dough
Grab a mixing bowl and measure 1 cup of creamy, unsweetened natural peanut butter, then add it to the bowl.
Pour 2 tbsp of pure maple syrup into the bowl with the peanut butter.
Mix thoroughly with a spatula to combine the two ingredients. It will seem liquidy at first. Keep stirring, and soon, the mixture will thicken to a moldable, dough-like consistency.
Scoop and Shape The Cookies
Scoop out 12 equal portions of the dough ball using a cookie scoop.
Roll each portion of the dough between your palms to form a smooth, round ball.
Once the ball is formed, gently press on top of the ball with your thumb to flatten it.
Use a fork to create a criss-cross pattern on top of each cookie.
Bake, Cool and Enjoy!
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 180 degrees Celsius.
Place the prepared cookie dough inside the oven and bake the cookies for about 10-12 minutes.
Once baked, take the cookies out of the oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheet. The cookies will firm up as they cool.
Serve and enjoy your peanut butter cookies that have a melt-in-your mouth delicious texture.
- You need to use natural peanut butter for this recipe. The cookies won’t turn out the same if you use sweetened and processed peanut butter.
- Make sure your peanut butter is at room temperature before using them. Also, stir the peanut butter very well before baking.
- You can use powdered sugar instead of maple syrup; for this, you can use 1/4 cup or 1/3 cup powdered sugar as your preference.
