Raising Cane’s Sauce Recipe is a signature creamy and tangy dipping sauce that is specifically created for chicken fingers. This iconic sauce was crafted in 1996 by its founder, Todd Graves, along with his initial team of fry cooks in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

This raising cane sauce was designed specifically to enhance their menu centered around chicken fingers and was first introduced at the inaugural restaurant site close to the campus of Louisiana State University.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup / 112 g Mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup / 60 g Ketchup
  • ½ tsp / 3 ml Worcestershire
  • ½ tsp / 2 g Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp / 3 g Fresh Coarse Black Pepper

Instructions

Combine Mayonnaise and Ketchup

  • Grab a mixing bowl and measure ½ cup of mayonnaise, then add it to the bowl.
  • Measure out ¼ cup of ketchup and add it to the bowl with the mayonnaise.

Add Seasonings

  • Add 1/2 tsp of Worcestershire sauce to the mixing bowl.
  • Season the sauce with ½ tsp garlic powder and 1/2 tsp of fresh cracked peppercorns or coarse black pepper.
  • Using a spoon, mix all the ingredients until the sauce becomes smooth.

Chill, Serve and Enjoy!

  • Once fully mixed, cover the bowl tightly with a plastic wrap.
