What To Pair with Potato and Carrot Fritters Recipe?
The fritters are delicious on their own.
But why not take them to the next level with some tasty dips, sauces, and salsas?
Before diving into the recipe, let’s explore some delicious pairings that will compliment our piping-hot fritters getting ready to be served!
Greek Yogurt Dip
When it comes to complimentary dishes, contrasting flavors always work best.
Flavored with garlic, lemon zest, and fresh herbs, Greek yogurt dip provides a creamy and tangy contrast to the crisp patties in our recipe. The yogurt’s acidity also balances out the natural sweetness of the carrots and adds depth to the overall dish.
Chutney
For sweet and tangy flavor, you can go for Mango chutney. Chunks of sweet and delicious ripe mangoes combined with ginger, cumin, and lemon juice can give those fritters a refreshing fruity taste that will leave a lasting impression.
Not much of a fan of sweet chutneys?
The tanginess of tamarind will give you a completely different experience with its delicious pulp combined with sugar, spices, and raisins. You can also choose tomato chutney that uses blended tomatoes with onion, garlic, mustard seeds, and chilis.
Salad
A simple salad with lettuce, spinach, and leafy greens dressed in balsamic vinaigrette can give a refreshing balance to the fried cakes.
You can also try out a bean salad for healthy alternatives. Use some mixed beans, for example, chickpeas, black beans, and kidney beans, and toss them with bell pepper, red onion, salt and pepper, and lime vinaigrette to prepare a protein-enriched breakfast or snack of the day.
