What’s so special about this homemade brownie recipe?

Let’s talk about the history of brownies before I explain what makes this fudgy best brownie recipe unique. In the late 19th century, brownies were a type of fudgy candy in the United States. It’s thought that this delicious confection was created by accident when a batch of caramel went awry.

Although everyone has a different idea of what makes a perfect and best brownie, most people agree that it should be chewy, soft, and rich in chocolate flavor. It should melt in your tongue right away, but getting there calls for patience, skill, and high-quality ingredients to make brownies.

Know your ingredients to make the best fudge brownie

Before diving into the instructions, you should familiarize yourself with your ingredients to ensure that you understand which ingredient does what to produce the best brownie ever. To make this recipe, I have used Chocolate bar but you can use chocolate chip if you want to.

Butter

The use of melted butter in this recipe ensures that the brownies have a soft yet chewy texture and are easy to swallow. Because of the use of this ingredient, the brownies have a melting flavor in your mouth.

White and brown sugar

White sugar is used to give the batter a fluffy and smooth texture when whisked, while brown sugar is used to give the brownies the perfect amount of sweetness and dazzling brown color.

Eggs

Eggs make sure that the batter sticks together and the brownies turn out smooth and chewy. Used in place of milk, eggs bind the batter, without making it too gooey.

All-purpose flour

What is a fudge recipe without all-purpose flour? It forms the foundation for a chewy and soft batch of brownies. In this recipe, all-purpose flour is one of the most important dry ingredients as it provides the perfect balance of softness and density to the texture of brownies.

Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

The king of this recipe is Cocoa powder, the dark color and the chocolatey flavor are all outcomes of this wonderful ingredient. Additionally, it also provides just the right amount of bitterness to your brownies making sure that a symphony of flavors dances on your palette.

Dark Chocolate

Every dessert should have a secret twist, and this one includes dark chocolate. When you bite into one of those perfectly baked brownie pieces, you’ll get a burst of chocolate and gooey fudge, making this brownie recipe your favorite.

5 Tips to make the perfect batch of Fudgy Brownies

Use melted butter

Using melted butter will not only speed up the process but will also make sure that the sugar melts perfectly into the batter and provides an even texture and flavor throughout the brownies. To melt the butter Just microwave the butter for 3 seconds and you will have your golden melted butter ready to be used in brownie batter.

Eggs one by one

Crack the eggs one by one into the mixture, crack one and then mix it a little, and then repeat. This will make sure that the eggs are whisked well into the batter and that your brownies are all set to hit the oven.

Don’t overbake

Bake the brownies for the given time only, even if you feel that they aren’t cooked properly yet, let the tray sit in the oven for a couple of minutes. This will make sure that the brownies are completely cooked, and not overcooked. This is because overcooking can ruin their texture and make them hard to chew and swallow.

Cut using a damp knife

If you wish to cut those perfect pieces of brownie without any crumbs falling here and there then remember to dip the knife you’re using in some warm water and pat it dry using a kitchen towel. This will give you the most beautiful and symmetrical pieces of brownie.

Line and grease the pan

Since the brownies are meant to be fudgy and soft, it is obvious that they might stick to the bottom of the pan while baking. To avoid this and get clean results, ensure that you grease and line the pan with parchment paper.

This recipe is absolutely fool proof and fantastic. At first I didn’t like how gooey the middle of the pan was, texture wise. But by the next day, it firmed up quite nicely to give that fudgy texture. This recipe is pure decadence and additive. Will recommend baking the day before the event if you’re looking for that fudgy goodness, so the centre can “set” a bit.

    I don’t have a 7×7″ pan (I don’t think it’s very common!). Will an 8×8″ pan work instead??
