Tips For Making Delicious Malai Roll Recipe
Before we go straight to the recipe, let’s share some tips on how to make this dessert recipe absolutely yummy like a pro!
- Use fresh slices of bread for this recipe. Fresh bread tends to be softer, which makes it easier to roll. It’s important that the bread rolls easily without tearing and holds the filling inside firmly.
- You should continue stirring the mixture constantly throughout the cooking. Once thickened, the mawa tends to get burned easily. Too much high heat will make the texture grainy and overall unpleasant. To avoid this, stir continuously and distribute the heat evenly across the pan.
- While combining the warm malai mixture and saffron, ensure the saffron is soaked properly. Allow the saffron’s vibrant color and sweet flavor to come out completely. This step will help add more flavor and beauty to the dish.
- While cooking, if the mawa gets too creamy and thick for your liking, add a small amount of warm milk to the mix. You can also use cream instead of milk for this purpose. Please carefully add one tablespoon at a time to make sure the mixture becomes too runny.
- After you have combined the bread rolls with malai milk, please make sure the dish is chilled before serving. Refrigerating the dish for 30 minutes to an hour helps the bread firm up and become easier to slice.
