Honey roasted peanut butter is such a staple in my house that I subconsciously depend on it to make my mornings a lot easier!
Especially with kids running around in the morning, I can hardly focus on getting ready, packing bags, and keeping an eye on everything else- let alone making an elaborate breakfast. However, as I spread the butter on the bread, I can’t help but glance at the label. One look at the ingredients list makes me feel guilty about feeding my children preservatives first thing in the morning!
The guilt turned into curiosity and made me wonder if I could create a homemade version. With a few tries(and some disasters!) I finally perfected a creamy honey roasted peanut butter that’s made with only 3 simple ingredients. Now, my morning starts with satisfaction and a jar of homemade peanut butter that lasts for days, too!

Flavor Variation You Must Try!
You don’t need to stick to the classic recipe if you don’t want to! Here are a few fun variations that are easy to adapt:
Chocolate Peanut Butter
Chocolate goes wonderfully well with the peanut butter! To add chocolate to this recipe, stir in 2 tbsp of cocoa powder while processing the mixture.
Spicy Peanut Butter
I wouldn’t typically go for a spicy flavor in my butter, however, it still tastes delicious if you are a spice lover. You can make it spicy by mixing in a pinch of cayenne pepper or chili flakes.

Coconut Peanut Butter
Want to feel the tropical vibe right at your breakfast table? Add 2 tbsp of shredded coconut to the mix for a sweeter taste!
Salted Caramel Peanut Butter
My favorite one so far includes caramel sauce and a pinch of sea salt. Just add 1 tsp of caramel sauce and a sprinkle of sea salt while blending- it’s a total game-changer!
Roast The Raw Peanuts
- First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, 176 degrees Celcius, and line a baking tray with parchment paper.Â
- Then, arrange the raw peanuts in a single layer on the baking sheet and place them in the oven to roast for 10-12 minutes or until dark or well-browned.
- Toss the peanuts halfway during roasting to ensure they are cooked evenly.Â
- Once roasted, take the peanuts out of the oven and allow them to rest for 5 minutes before blending.
Health Benefits Of Homemade Honey Roasted Peanut Butter

My family’s favorite snack is toasted bread with peanut butter on top. But I feel guilty because of their ingredients, which are not healthy at all, whenever I spread the store-bought peanut butter. Store-bought peanut butter is loaded with excessive sugar, hydrogenated oils, and preservatives, which is unhealthy in the long run.
However, If you make this honey-roasted peanut butter at home, it is healthy and packed with protein, fiber, antioxidants, and healthy fats. Also, you can customize them in terms of flavor, sugar, and salt as per your preferences. Most importantly, it is fresh, budget-friendly as well as healthy. Once you try to make this protein-packed nut butter at home, you will never buy the store ones.
Equipments
Once you make this homemade version of peanut butter, there’s hardly any chance you will go back to the store-bought again. All you need is a food processor- the rest is so easy that it practically makes itself!
I always make a large batch and store it for later so I never run out of this homemade deliciousness. And on the days I have some extra, I love using it in smoothies, desserts, or a quick spoonful in my mouth to taste the goodness!
