Roti, rice, and pulao—what dish would match this trio? Egg masala curry would be the perfect answer!
From the spicy heat of the chili flakes to the rich, mouthwatering smell of ghee, egg masala curry is a delightful fusion of savory and spices. The soft, creamy eggs are surrounded by a delicious curry masala that’s so bold that it makes every bite a standout experience.
The thick curry masala typically includes aromatic spices like cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon that bring a sense of warmth and a slightly sweet taste to the dish. Ground spices like turmeric bring a vibrant golden hue, while cumin powder adds a warm, nutty flavor profile.
Meanwhile, red chili powder delivers a spicy kick, and combined with Kashmiri red chili powder, the curry turns a vibrant color with a mild fruity scent!
How To Peel Hard-Boiled Eggs Easily?
Sometimes, preparation takes longer than the actual cooking itself!
Peeling hard-boiled eggs has always been the trickiest part of any egg dish. Whether I leave some bits of shells behind, miss a big chunk, or simply take too much time peeling the eggs, I always have trouble getting them just right!
Over the years, I have gathered some techniques to make it easy, and today, I am excited to share them with you so that you can skip the hassle!
Boil The Eggs
Grab a deep cooking pot and put it on the stove over medium-high heat. Place the eggs in the pot in a single layer. Pour cold water to cover the eggs by one inch and bring the water to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let the eggs simmer for about 10-12 minutes, depending on how firm you want them to be.
Cool The Eggs
Transfer the boiled eggs to an ice bath or immediately place them in a bowl of cold water. This helps stop the cooking process.
Crack The Shell
Gently tap an egg on top of a counter or a hard surface. You can also use the edge of a bowl for this purpose. Roll the eggs lightly to create more cracks in the shell. You can also place the eggs in a closed container and gently shake the box to loosen the shells.
Peel The Shell
Start peeling the bigger cracked chunks. Grab the edge of one cracked piece and gently pull it away to peel off the rest of the egg.
Rinse, Dry and Get Ready To Cook!
Rinse the egg under running water to remove any shell fragments, and pat the egg dry with a paper towel. The eggs are now ready to cook the best dhaba style egg curry.
