Ingredients

  • 100 Grams / 100 Grams Dark Chocolate (Semi-sweet )
  • 100 Grams / 100 Grams White Chocolate
  • 500 ml / 500 ml Whipping Cream (200ml+300ml)

Instructions

  • Cut your white and dark chocolate into small pieces, then place them into two small bowls. (you can also use chocolate chips if you like)
  • In a small saucepan, heat the whipping cream (200ml) over medium heat just until it comes to a simmer. Pour the hot cream directly over the chopped white and dark chocolates into 2 equal amount and let stand for about 5 minutes to allow the hot cream to melt the chocolate. After about 5 minutes give both the chocolate a very good stir to completely melt the chocolate.
  • Once the chocolate is completely melted and smooth, set aside, let it cool for 5-10 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, whisk 300ml very cold whipping cream until soft peaks form. Then take half of the whipped cream in a separate bowl.
  • Add the cooled melted white chocolate to the whipped cream, in portions and continue to whisk until all the chocolate are mixed properly and firm peaks form. Repeat the same process with the rest of the whipped cream and cooled melted dark chocolate.
  • Spoon both the white and dark chocolate mousse in small serving dishes in layers, or put them into 2 piping bags and then pipe into the serving dish to make them look fancy. You can serve the mousse right away or refrigerate them for 3-4 hours before serving and it is better to serve chilled.
  • Decorate with some chocolate sprinkles or toppings of your choice and enjoy!

  1. I have milk chocolate 4 slabs and dark chocolate 1 slab so can I use both of them or only milk chocolate

  2. I try this recipe has shown. The moment I added the chocolate, a whipped cream release the water and whipped cream form becomes the granular like my mom used to make
Butter from Malia. I set it in freez it’s become like ice. Perfect mother day disaster recipe.

  3. Hi I liked the recipe overall, but your instructions are misleading. You say to mix the chocolate- cream mixture into the whipped cream until firm peaks form. In your video, you don’t mix it that much— there are no peaks. I followed your instructions to a t and the white chocolate whipped cream got over-mixed. I had to work hard to salvage it. Then I decided not to do it that way and the dark chocolate was fine.

    • I agree it’s not good idea to mix chocolate in whipped cream. I wish I have read your comments before I tried it. It would have avoided Mother day disaster.

    • Lindt is the best brand in my opinion and can be found in most grocery stores.
Lindt Excellence 70% Cocoa Smooth Dark 3.5 oz 100 grams
Lindt Classic Recipe White 4.4oz 125 grams.

Heavenly! Let me know what you think

    • I think we have grocery stores in India unless you are living I remote area. Just go to any grocery store and look for whipping cream in dairy section. As simple as that! Lol!

    • Have made it several times, always a big hit! Serve in a wine or martini glass for great presentation. Love it!
