This awesomely delicious chocolate mug cake is a single-serving one. Another good thing about this microwave mug cake is, you will only need one mug to do the whole prepping and baking process. So it’s not only very delicious but also very easy to make too.

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp / 44.36 g All-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp / 29.57 g Granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp / 29.57 g Cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp / 1.23 g Baking powder
  • 1 pinch / 1 pinch Salt
  • 3 tbsp / 44.36 ml Milk
  • ½ tsp / 2.46 ml Vanilla essence
  • 2 tbsp / 29.57 ml Vegetable oil
  • 20 gram / 20 gram Milk chocolate chunks

Instructions

  • First, in a microwave-safe mug ( roughly 1 cup ( roughly 1 cup measurement) all purpose flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Then give the dry ingredients a good mix. (here you can also use brown sugar instead of white to give the cake a nice gooey texture).
  • Then add in the milk, vanilla essence and oil. Mix all the ingredients until well incorporated. Finally mix in some milk chocolate chunks into the batter.
  • Now microwave for 1 minute. (here I’ve used a 1200w microwave, if yours is different then the timing may vary. If the microwave you have is less than 1200w, it may take you up to 1.5-2 minutes to make the cake).
  • Take it out of the microwave oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes.
  • Dust your cake with some icing sugar and drizzle it with some chocolate sauce or you can serve the cake with some whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!

  1. Well, maybe it’s just your oven because this recipe always has worked for me. And there’s are so many other people that it worked for and loved it. It’s probably something with the oven or maybe your ingredients.

  2. 5 stars
This was soo yummy! I tried before some other recipes. But this one is the only that tastes like real cake! The other ones were like waffles. The best mug cake recipe!

  3. This recipe is Awesome. I made it with gluten free floor and used a pinch of stevia and coconut sugar instead of regular sugar. I put a piece of chocolate right in the middle. It was so good.

  4. I LOVED the mug cake next time i do it i would dd like 1 tbsp more milk and 1.30 mins more i think because there was still some not cooked cake at the bottom of my mug and there was bit of a after taste but it was good! i recommend doing this but with my tips!
