Ask any chocolate lover(hello, that’s me!), and they will rave about their two favorites: brownies and cookies- the essence of pure chocolaty goodness. While these two treats are yummy on their own, if you want to experience the best of both worlds, today’s brookies recipe is the way to go!
So, what makes brookies a combo of such perfection?
It’s the rich, fudgy texture of the brownies and the buttery crispiness of the cookies that seal the deal for me! With both these classic delights in one delicious treat, brookies are the ultimate choice for any dessert lovers. The chocolate chips sprinkled throughout the cookie balls add an extra dose of gooey, melty pockets of rich chocolate bites. With the delicious mix of dark chocolate and cocoa powder in the batter, the brownie part tastes absolutely loaded with chocolaty goodness!
And the best part?
You can serve this dessert straight on a tray, slice it up, and share it with friends and family. This dessert is perfect for those festive occasions where you need a fantabulous dish to stand out!

What Are Brookies?
I like to call brookies a fun mashup of fudgy brownies and chewy chocolate chip cookies. It merges the textures and flavors of two individual desserts into a single delicious treat!
The dessert consists of two main parts: a fudgy brownie base and cookie dough balls. The brownie layer consists of chocolate, cocoa powder, butter, and eggs. Spread across the brownie layer, you will find cookie balls made with flour, butter, sugar, egg, and, of course, chocolate chips! Together, they create a dessert that’s mouthwateringly irresistible.
Customize Your Brookies To Match Your Cravings!
Brookies are incredibly versatile and therefore, you don’t need to stick to the standard recipe every time! Here are some fun ways you can customize your brookies:

Nutty Addition
Crushed nuts like almonds, pecans, pistachios, and walnuts pair wonderfully with the rich, chocolaty taste of the brookies. You can add these nuts to both the cookie dough and brownie to enjoy a delightful crunch in every bite.
Flavor The Dough
The cookie dough is infused with vanilla flavor in this recipe. You can also go for cinnamon, espresso powder, orange zest or a splash of almond extract for flavoring the dough.

Decorate With Drizzles!
Once baked, decorate your brookies with a generous drizzle of chocolate or caramel sauce! You can also use Nutella, berry sauce, maple syrup, or peanut butter sauce as a delicious topping alternative.
Fruity Twist
Dried fruits like cranberries, cherries, raisins, and apricots pair well with the rich, chocolaty layers of brookies. They add a chewy and sweet texture that contrasts beautifully with the fudgy brownies and crispy cookie bits.

Pro Tips For Making This Recipe
- Always use room-temperature butter and eggs for perfect Brookies every time you bake.

- Make sure to use overhanging parchment paper, which will help you to remove them from the pan, and don’t forget to cool the brookies completely.
- You can customize the sweetness of your brookies by changing the ratio slightly.
- Watch your brookies closely, as oven temperatures can vary. It takes 30 minutes to bake my brookies.
